We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior AI Scientist (m/f/d) to lead rapid prototyping and evidence generation for innovative AI solutions for healthcare and clinical. In this role, you will translate clinical, product and pharmaceutical questions into rigorous research plans, develop and evaluate advanced machine-learning methods, and assess their feasibility using medical-imaging and longitudinal clinical data. You will define robust benchmarks, conduct statistical, error and robustness analyses, and produce reproducible evidence for scientific publications, validation activities and delivery decisions. Working closely with AI, data, clinical and product specialists, you will help transfer promising research into deployable solutions. The ideal candidate combines scientific depth, strong machine-learning and medical-image-analysis expertise, and a collaborative mindset with a passion for turning research into meaningful healthcare impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Rapidly prototype and evaluate AI methods for retinal-image analysis, disease progression, forecasting, correlation and biomarker quantification.
- Translate clinical, product and pharmaceutical research needs into clear research questions, hypotheses and experimental plans.
- Lead feasibility studies and document datasets, methods, assumptions, results, limitations and recommendations for delivery decisions.
- Produce reproducible evidence for scientific abstracts, publications, validation reports and scientific communication with partners.
- Design, train, evaluate and refine machine-learning and deep-learning models for medical-image segmentation, classification, quantification, forecasting and longitudinal analysis.
- Define benchmarks, perform robustness and error analyses, and transfer validated methods into deployable Pharma or Provider solutions with AI, data, clinical and product teams.
